Scientific Python Programmer
Job Description
Huawei Gothenburg research center is now looking for a scientific Python programmer for development of inhouse simulation tools . As a Python programmer you are expected to participate in development and architecture work, as well as support researchers with their work. You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills to make a better connected world. You will cooperate with the rest of the developers, and cooperate with researchers to analyze the simulator’s requirement. You will also assist researchers with general Python problems. The simulator is based on Python/numpy, and has its core developed in C++/cuda .
Responsibilities
Implement new features in the simulator in Python/C++/cuda. Correct bugs found in the simulator. Manage Continuous Integration as well as computing cluster. Support researchers with general Python questions.
Qualifications
MSc or PhD in Computer Science or other programming background with 5 years. Strong background in Scientific Python programming. Experience in C++, CUDA, GitLab , DASK , Linux maintenance is preferred. Should be able to work in a team and possess good interpersonal and communications skills. Self motivated with strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
