Professional Services Engineer


Summary

In this role, you will be the technically responsible for some of our active customers and partners. You will act as their primary point of contact within the company. The role includes coordinating, resolving, and following up on technical issues, and if necessary, working on-site with customers and prospects, which may entail performing root cause analysis to solve technical issues and finding solutions to those problems. You will also be responsible for assisting with TR-069 ACS system installations and upgrades, carrying out ACS and CPE product training, and helping customers in the planning of their launch and roll-out activities. You will be part of a high caliber, global Professional Services team providing support and professional consulting services to our customers. You will work closely with customers, vendors, and partners, as well as our client internal R&D and Sales organizations. Over time there will be a considerable amount of pre-sales activities including handling of new prospects and leads. In short, your job is to create greater customer satisfaction.

Experience

For this position we look for a senior person that has a Master or bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, with several years of relevant working experience. You should be completely at ease with Linux/Unix, IP networking and protocols and routing technologies. In addition, you should have understanding and knowledge of SQL database functions, IPTV and Voice over IP. A background working with ISPs or Tier 2 telecom operators in general and their network configuration, operating system and database’s is beneficial. Experience with mass management solutions and the TR-069 family of standards is also valued. IoT and smart home solutions is a growing market for our client and experience in this area is appreciated.

Desired skills

As a person, you are driven, analytical, thorough, and see yourself as a problem solver that work methodically even in stressful situations. Considering the nature of the business you must be service minded and responsive in addition to an ability to listen and build good relationships. Last but not least, you should have excellent communication skills in the English language, both orally and in writing. If you have experience in or the ambition to lead a technical team this is also valued.
